It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year~~~~

October is near and boy can you feel it right now.  Just a little while ago I was here at the computer and I hear a shreeking sound.  I thought to myself "fanbelt?"  I didn't hear anyone pull in the driveway so I go and look out the window to see my little buddy and his friend sled riding in the leaves down the hill behind the house!  How funny, the magic of being a kid.  We are suppose to go camping tomorrow at a friend's camp for a "family" deal with several other friends and their kids.  It is suppose to flurry maybe tomorrow and be in the 40s!  I do not want to go but boy the kids do, they are so excited!  All I can think about is are all the dolls in my head I want to make and paper mache, whew, I can't wait to make another paper mache doll.  I haven't made one for years.  I have made a few clay dolls this year but not mache.  In all this excitement my hubby brought it to my attention that the deck and house need stained before winter and a few rooms repainted. Say what!?  So since I am at home and he works constantly I need to do what I can to help out.  BUMMER!  So I will try and squeeze a few dolls in here and there when he isn't looking!  Stay tuned!

Witches in Waiting

All summer long I thought of all the dolls I wanted to be making but felt guilty not spending all my time with my kiddos.  They grow so fast, summer slips away to quickly but I managed to squeeze a few moments of time inbetween everything else to make about 24 doll bodies, all slightly different in some way.  I can never do the same thing twice, I guess that is why I am not career driven in any way, I am a proud Pisces, I go with the flow.

My Dad

May 6, 2011.
I lost my Dad May 6th.  His name was Howard Reseigh.  Everyone called him Skip.  My dad was a treasure hunter, he loved tools, he loved antiques he loved everything, he loved to roller skate, he loved to race cars, he spent much of his time with his friends and his family who he cared deeply about and would do anything for, he would also give the shirt off his back to a stranger if they needed it.  He leaves behind at the young age of 60, a son Adam and his wife Megan and grandson Baker.  He leaves behind a 17 year old son Jason, many many friends, three sisters, and myself and my family.  Even though he has gone I know he is still here.  I love you Dad.

Clay Doll

Well something I play in now and again is clay or paper mache.  To me, paper mache is tough!  Maybe I just don't know what I am doing so I get discouraged because it takes forever!  I am always too excited to get to the next project to wait around so I decided to ditch the mache and just use clay.  I finally got decent pictures of my doll I finished the other day.  Boy I used to be great with whipping up a story and name for each doll but for some reason I have a hard time with that now.  I am going to put her on etsy this evening after I figure out a good name if I can!

Finally!

Well it has been something I have been putting off for years, a blog.  I love to write sometimes.  In the wee hours of the night when everyone is in bed and I am so tired that I can't keep my eyes open and I am starting to become slightly delirious, I sometimes feel I could write up a storm!  I have a witty, odd sense of humor so bare with me and please ignore my sometime typos!
Well it is a rainy cool first full day of Spring.  No one is home and it is so quiet, I am not sure how creative I'll get today but I do feel I accomplished something small, I wrote in my blog.  "The Beginning".  Thanks for spending time with me and my craziness.  I always joke that I have ADD.  I cannot for the life of me focus on anything but I guess for me, that can be good cause I always am making something and everything I do finish, is different!  A big mix. I know most of you can completely identify with me.
